Plan Your Trip

You’ll be perfectly positioned to explore the glorious Wiltshire countryside, with the rolling hills and beautiful meadows on your doorstep.

Why not bring your furry friend along too? Dogs are welcome in all of our rooms making your trip that extra bit special with your best friend by your side.

In our opinion, no Cotswolds road-trip would be complete without a visit to the picture-postcard village of Castle Combe, it makes for a beautiful walk from Ford, or it’s just a hop, skip and a jump away by car. We’ll be sure to welcome you back to the pub with a hearty feast and a cosy nights stay.

Nestled amidst the tranquil Wiltshire countryside, this living antique exudes timeless charm and is easily accessible with just a 10-minute drive. Alternatively, you can embark on one of the scenic hiking trails or nature walks, offering picture-perfect views at every turn. Castle Combe Circuit

Car enthusiasts, buckle up! It’s time to hit the track and experience the thrill of the Castle Combe Circuit. Whether you’re a seasoned racer or just looking for an adrenaline-fueled adventure, this legendary motorsport venue is located 5 miles west of Chippenham on the B4039, just half a mile from the village of Castle Combe (thats a handy 7 minutes drive from us) It’s known for hosting various racing events, including car and motorcycle races, as well as track days and driving experiences. The circuit is renowned for its challenging layout and picturesque setting, surrounded by lush countryside.

The By Brook

The babbling By Brook is a small river that you’ll see meandering through our pub garden. So you don’t have to venture to far to see it’s beauty. Simply enjoy your favourite tipple by the water edge and take in the glorious views. If you are feeling adventurous, pull on those hiking boots and head out for a ramble, there’s an abundance of walking and hiking trails that follow the river, our favourite and probably most popular walk is the circular walk to Castle Combe, it’s around 7 miles but really is worth it and one of the best ways to immerse yourself in nature.
