Staying Over?

How long should you stay in Ford?

We love being here in the leafy loveliness of the Cotswolds countryside, and we just know you will too.

We think a stay of two nights is pretty perfect. A little less? You’ll have a great time (we promise), but there’s just so much to see and do in Wilthsire that you’ll wish you had an extra night with us.

Staying for longer? We’ll give you plenty of hints and tips for the best local walks and activities to keep you busy.

What are the best things to do in Ford?

Honestly, so much. We’re surrounded by the Cotswold countryside with an abundance of woodland walking trails on our doorstep.

Just a 5-minute drive away you’ll find the mustn’t-miss-it Castle Combe, ‘the prettiest village in England’ a living antique, adrift in the Wiltshire countryside, it makes for a lovely walk from our pub.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 3pm. If you arrive early and your room isn’t quite ready, there’s plenty of space in our lovely pub to relax, have a bite to eat or a little tipple.

Arriving early and want to head out? No problem, we’ll hold on to your bags until you’re back. Check-out is by 11am.

What time is breakfast?

Brekkie is served from 7.30am on weekdays, and 8am on weekends (we all deserve a little lie-in). If your room rate doesn’t include breakfast but you can’t quite resist, fear not, walk-ins are very welcome.

Do you have any family-friendly bedrooms?

Our Bigger Comfy are our family-friendly bedrooms. We can also add cots for the littlest of guests, or fold-out beds (for the bigger little ones) to your room on request. Kids under 2 stay for free. 2-16 are £15 per night.

Can I bring my dog to stay?

Yes, we love furry four-legged friends just as much as humans. Just add your dog to your booking (up to two doggo’s can stay with you for £15 per night), and we’ll make sure they get a VIP welcome with a super-comfy doggy bed, blanket and tasty tail-wagging treats.

Getting Here

Do you have any parking?

We are lucky enough to have plenty of on-site parking. Just head past the pub and it’s the first turning on the left, plus there’s plenty more spaces just over the bridge.

How do I get to you via public transport?

Our closet train station is Chippenham, with frequent connections to Bristol and London.

The Faresaver 95/95A runs from Chippenham to Castle Combe in around 20 minutes (though only a few services running each day and none on a Sunday).

You can jump in a taxi at Chippenham and it’s a 12-minute drive to us from there.

Booking Bits

Can I cancel my booking?

We understand that plans sometimes change, so we try to make our booking policies super flexible. You can cancel or modify your booking up to 12pm the day before your arrival. If you cancel outside of this time or don’t show up, we’re sorry, but we’ll have to charge you for the first night of your stay. The only rate that’s not flexible is the Early Bird, this one’s non-refundable and non-amendable.

Can I make changes to my booking?

You can make changes to your booking up to 12pm the day before your arrival. This includes changes to your package, room and extras (as long as it’s available). The only rate that’s not flexible is the Early Bird, this one’s non-amendable.

Can I get a copy of my invoice?

Of course. When booking online, you have the option to send an invoice in step 2. Missed this step? Not to worry, just ask at Reception and the team will email you a copy. Checked out already? Pop us an email and we’ll send one right over.
